After his arrival in January 2023, the first six months were pass-free. The team was in disarray, and he was getting used to living in a foreign league and nation. Then he had a few strong games to open this season.

But criticism has grown in the months that have passed since then. Not only are Enzo’s performances concerning, but so is the complete lack of connection that has grown between him and Moises Caicedo in midfield.

The past several weeks have seen serious doubts about Enzo’s potential, abilities, future, and commitment surface for the first time since his arrival.

The Argentine may have realized this because his remarks on Chelsea’s official website today gave supporters hope that he will perform better:

“I’m making an effort to become the me you saw during the World Cup. I want to experience what Enzo did while competing in the World Cup. “I wish to return there,” he said.

“I feel good, and I’m getting better every day, but I don’t feel 100% yet. I’m still getting used to things and don’t feel completely like myself, but I’m making a lot of effort every day to strive toward that goal as soon as possible.

Still a lot of faith We’ve all seen him play brilliantly in spurts оf time, and we’ve all watched him win the Wоrld Cup barely a mоnth befоre he signed with Chelsea, sо it’s difficult tо dismiss his pоtential. Furthermоre, there is a lоt оf suppоrt fоr the claim that he hasn’t been emplоyed apprоpriately. He wоuld prefer tо reserve thоse passes fоr the apprоpriate situatiоn, but all tоо frequently, when we are leading a game, he is cоmpelled tо make Hоllywооd passes all the time in an attempt tо break the defense.

Though we still believe that Enzo and the others in this group can turn things around, it’s normal for doubts to progressively mount in the absence of progress.
