Nationwide — Dakota White, a 7-year-old African American girl from Dallas, Texas, is making history as the fastest child in America. She recently set a new national Junior Olympics record.

Dakota and her teammates from Fort Worth’s Xpress Track Club broke the AAU Junior Olympics record for the girls 8 and under 100-meter relay earlier this month. Dakota, who finished in 59.08 seconds, also established a new national record.

Dakota gained global prominence last year after Tiktok recordings of her sprinting in a track meet became viral.

Dakota began training when she was three years old under the supervision of her father, Cam White, a former TCU wide receiver.

“She had crazy form. It wasn’t fast, but her form was already impeccable. Her father told Fox 4 News that as she progressed, they began to seek out various coaches.

Dakota has won every competition she has participated in since last year.

Furthermore, Dakota continues to train hard without missing a day, even in the heat of summer. Her father stated that she always drinks plenty of water and consumes a well-balanced diet.

“Reduce your consumption of various snacks and foods while maintaining a balanced diet. As a kid, you know they enjoy eating a lot of junk food. Do not get me wrong. “I didn’t take much away from her, but we limited what she could eat,” he explained. “She trains hard.”

Dakota is pleased with her accomplishments, including her latest gold medal from the Junior Olympics.

“When I see them it’s like 100 to me,” she told me.
