This two-door hardtop 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air has been mechanically and cosmetically restored by its previous owner. It has a 283ci V8 engine with dual four-barrel carburetors and a three-speed manual transmission. After removing it from the frame, the body was stripped and restored in black. The cabin features vinyl trim in red and black. Among the features are a heater, an AM radio, hooded headlamps, dual antennas, and 15-inch steel wheels that match the body color. A clear Indiana title, images of the refurbishing, and service documents are all included with the sale of this Bel Air, which the seller acquired in 2021.
During the 2014 restoration, the body was taken off the frame, stripped to bare metal, and then refinished in black. There are two antennae, a hooded headlight, a wrap-around windshield at the front and back, and a gasoline filler hidden in the left taillight, among other details.
Skin tone Firestone Deluxe Champion tires are installed on 15-inch steel wheels with finned chrome hubcaps; a spare tire in the same style is stored in the trunk. The unassisted drums make the braking possible.
Red vinyl covers the bench seats, which are otherwise covered in see-through material. Furnishings inside include an AM radio, a heater, a defroster, and an analog clock.
A chrome horn ring adorns the steering wheel, which surrounds a speedometer with a 120-mph reading and is flanked by gauges for engine temperature and fuel level. During the refurbishing, the steering column was supposedly rebuilt. The odometer shows 13,000 kilometers, but the numbers are faded. No one knows the total mileage.
During the renovation, the 283ci V8 was supposedly refurbished. It has a “batwing” oil-bath air cleaner and two four-barrel carburetors for fuel. A high-lift “Duntov” camshaft with solid lifters is supposedly installed in the engine.

Using a three-speed manual transmission that is column-shifted, power is transmitted to the back wheels. Reportedly, the overhaul included stripping and refinishing the frame and overhauling the transmission.
