Jurgen Klopp’s exit has been on the horizon for Liverpool for a while, and the club’s leadership, players, and fans are all still struggling with the transition.
Concerns about Mohamed Salah’s future, heightened by interest from Saudi Arabian clubs, complicate the club’s preparations for the upcoming season.

Liverpool needs to sign someone, right?Steve Nicol, a former Liverpool player, proposed Victor Osimhen as a possible addition to the Reds’ roster in lieu of goal-scoring stars like Kylian Mbappe (who is leaving for Real Madrid) or Erling Haaland (of Manchester City).
The striker has emerged as a star for Napoli in Serie A, and Nicol, speaking on ESPN, lauded him for his contributions to the team’s first championship in 30 years and for drawing comparisons to Diego Maradona, another Napoli great.
Regardless of Napoli’s struggles, Osimhen’s effect has been noticeable with 13 goals and 3 assists in 19 league appearances this season.
“Considering Salah’s potential departure, whether it’s this year or next, I believe Osimhen would be an incredible addition to Liverpool,” Nicol said.
“Oh my goodness. In my opinion, Liverpool would be in for a real treat with Osimhen. We have recently signed Mac Allister and Szoboszlai in the park’s center. Endo has been just fantastic. Nunez has the ability to start wide.
Osimhen isn’t someone Liverpool should sign, and I sort of agree with Steve Nicol on that.
Though he’s a phenomenal player and far more clinical than Darwin Nunez, the team really needs a Salah-esque successor.Osimhen may be talented, but he isn’t the right fit to replace Salah for the Reds. Reports also indicate that he would cost £113 million.
There aren’t many players whose skills and experience make them a viable alternative to the Egyptian.
Going for the best replacement available, no matter the cost, is something I can get behind.
In order to prevent Salah’s departure from derailing the club, Liverpool should allocate the substantial funds they are expected to get upon selling him.
