Ian Maatsen of Chelsea has provided us with a closer look at some of the intricacies of the next generation Adidas Predator, which we first saw on Aaron Ramsdale’s feet.
Aaron Ramsdale, who wore a whiteout version during training, gave us our first official glimpse at the Preadator, the latest iteration of adidas’s iconic silo, over the weekend. The famous fold-over tongue made a reappearance, and the Arsenal goalie also tested a tongueless version. In the whiteout presentation, Ian Maatsen of Chelsea is seen wearing that boot more closely when he puts it on for a training session.
This time, the rubber fin implementation is considerably more visible and appears to have been directly stolen from the boots from the Precision and Mania eras. The rubber components are traditionally located on the medial side of the shoe, but the branding on Maatsen’s laceless variants travels down the lateral side of the forefoot. This boot looks like a modern Predator should, capturing the essence of the silo but pushing it into a progressive realm for the modern game. The Mutator and Freak models were a daring new twist on the Predator brand. Fun moments ahead.
Chelsea makes a €60 million offer to Real Madrid
Real Madrid has established a superb reputation for itself at the Santiago Bernabeu for discovering talent from all around the world and turning them into first-team stars. That has been a major factor in the team’s on-field success even if they aren’t spending nearly as much on transfers as they formerly did.
Brazilian players are a particularly good target for Real Madrid to scout. Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior are already true superstars. Furthermore, Endrick, who hasn’t even made it to the club yet, appears to be on his way to becoming a superstar.
One of the most highly regarded Brazilian talents in recent memory is Endrick. However, there is a lot of hoopla about another Palmeiras player of his who is reportedly under Real Madrid’s notice.
Despite having not played much football in his career thus far, Estevao Willian has already drawn comparisons to Lionel Messi. Real Madrid is reportedly among the teams interested in signing him, which is not surprising, but it appears that Chelsea has already made the first move.
Chelsea makes a €60 million offer to Real Madrid.Journalist Jorge Nicola claims that Chelsea is interested in signing Estevao and has made an offer for the Brazilian sensation that is valued at €60 million (£51 million/$63 million), as reported by GOAL. After add-ons, the deal comes with a charge of €20 million (£17m/$21m) on top of €40 million (£34m/$42m).
Naturally, Chelsea has been very busy signing some of the top young players in the world of football in recent years. However, that hasn’t translated into success on the field.
Chelsea is now ninth in the Premier League standings and has not taken home a trophy since their ownership changed a few years ago. For someone like Estevao, would it be the ideal location?
