Tatum and at least one other Cs teammate will be pursuing another gold medal when the Cs wrap up their upcoming playoff run: supporting America’s Olympic team in winning gold in Paris, France.

Tatum added, “It’s really special” (source: Boston.com). “In high school, I was a member of three USA teams. Knowing that my favorite player wore No. 10 for the national team gave me the opportunity to wear it for all three of those years. I wore number 10 when I played for the FIBA World Cup squad in 2019 and again in 2021. It’s not something I take casually or for granted. I am aware of the consequences of donning that number.

Jayson Tatum is excited to be an American athlete on Team USA in the 2024 Olympics.Tatum has had great success in the NBA, coming just short of an NBA Finals Championship, but he is most proud of his ability to serve his nation, which is larger than any one organization.

The Dream Team, which included Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and perhaps the greatest player of all time, Michael Jordan, is at the center of Team USA’s unusual history of narratives. Then there was the Redeem Team, which included Dwayne Wade, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James in 2008. A squad that, following devastating losses in 2004, had the entire country wondering if they would be good enough to win the gold medal.

In case you missed it, the Redeem Team defeated the Spain team captained by Pau Gasol to win the gold.

Tatum is aware that this summer he will be a member of one of the biggest sports dynasties.

The honor is mine, Tatum remarked. Something that, as a child, I had always desired to do. My second chance to compete at the Olympics this summer excites me.

Tаtum is unquestiоnаbly primed аnd eаger tо defend his nаtiоn оn the bаsketbаll flооr. оne mаy аrgue thаt this is true оf аll NBа fаns, nоt just Bоstоn Celtics suppоrters.
