Be sure to pay attention to the Celtics’ reaction to Martin’s foul on Tatum at the end of Game 1. It’s obvious that the Boston players are eager to show their mettle early in the playoffs. Whether the officials call the rest of the series more loosely because of that play is something to monitor.

WATCH: Thunder center Chet Holmgren take on the Lithuanian center Valanciunas. Valanciunas’ strength was too much for Holmgren to handle on occasion. Nevertheless, Holmgren—a skinny rookie who is shedding at least 60 pounds—had his moments, contributing 15 points, 11 boards, and 5 blocks. Even though he had a few early misses in Game 1, he eventually found his target. Holmgren can make the Thunder unstoppable if he gets going early.
