Attending an NHL Party in Utah: Markkanen, Clarkson, and Hardy of the Jazz

Head coach Will Hardy, guard Jordan Clarkson, forward Lauri Markkanen, and the Utah Jazz were all in attendance at the NHL in Utah reception at Delta Center.

 

 

 

 

 

 

On Wednesday, supporters in Utah were given their first look at the newly acquired hockey team members during a gathering.

The Salt Lake City Delta Center will serve as the home arena for both the Jazz and the NHL club.

As the Utah Thunder introduced general manager Bill Armstrong, coach André Tourigny, and over a dozen players to the raucous audience, Markkanen, Clarkson, and Hardy sat close to the main stage.

During the player introduction, Valikami mentioned that Tampere is his hometown. Markkanen got up to encourage the fans to celebrate even more.The hockey club is relocating to Utah, and Valimaki isn’t the only Finn making the move.

Moving ahead Matias Maccelli, a hockey player from Turku, Finland, posed for a picture in Markkanen’s locker during Wednesday’s early arena tour.On the southern coast of Finland, you can find the cities of Tampere, Turku, and Vantaa, where Markkanen was born and raised, all within 110 miles of each other.

In September, the hockey team will start their preseason, and in October, the Jazz will open camp.
