The chance to play in Serie A piques the interest of the 32-year-old, whose contract with the Merseyside giants expires at the end of the season. Since he holds passports from both Cameroon and Germany, he won’t be able to use an extra non-EU space when he lands in Italy.

Liverpool star may decide to leave the club this summer following disappointing performance

Ronald De Boer, a legendary Dutchman, has predicted that Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk will both depart the club this summer.

Klopp stated earlier in January that he will be leaving the club after the current season.

Due to Liverpool’s outstanding record at the moment, attention shifted to creating an unforgettable farewell for the German manager, whose announcement had caught everyone by surprise.

Even though they struggled mightily with injuries, Liverpool nevertheless managed to win the League Cup, giving the supporters even more reason to dream of a possible quadruple.

Surprisingly, thоugh, the Reds have utterly crumbled оver the past few weeks, lоsing bоth the FA Cup and the Eurоpa League. In additiоn tо falling tо third place, behind Manchester City and Arsenal, they alsо lоst a three-pоint cushiоn atоp the league.

Liverpool is now in a precarious position, and rumors suggest that a number of players will be leaving the club in the summer. There has been talk of a major transfer to Saudi Arabia involving players like Mo Salah. The future of club captain Virgil van Dijk is also cloudy, as the Dutchman has dropped hints about a possible departure in the past.

Theories circulate that Van Dijk will depart Liverpool this summer.According to Ronald De Boer, the 6’5″ center defender may also decide to leave Liverpool.

He commented (as reported by The Sun) while speaking with talkSPORT:

Obviously, he’s trying to decide if he should leave now.

Maybe you’ll ask yourself, ‘Do I really want another year like that?’ after failing to win a reward. I am uncertain.

I don’t know, that’s up to him, but maybe he can make a fantastic transfer to enjoy his last years of football, either in the United States or someplace else.

He may decide to remain at Liverpool if he is truly content there, believes he has what it takes, and believes he can maintain his intensity in training and on the field.

Of course, I can’t read his mind and understand his thoughts.

“However, it is possible, naturally. Everyone has their appointed time here, so perhaps it’s time to depart.
