Zach LaVine’s Possible Trade to the Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers have expressed interest in signing Zach LaVine, a two-time All-Star for the Chicago Bulls. However, because to concerns about the possible consequences of such a risky star transfer, the Lakers are currently experiencing second thoughts.

The Lakers would most likely include D’Angelo Russell, a first-round draft choice, and contract fillers in their LaVine trade deal if they chose to construct another Big 3.

It’s common knowledge that most trade scenarios would include Russell, who was re-signed to a team-friendly deal this offseason. The following players might be acquired by the Lakers in exchange for him: Jalen Hood-Schifino, Reddish, Vincent, a first-round selection in 2029 or 2030, four second-round picks, and second-year guard Max Christie, according to The Ringer’s Seerat Sohi.

Despite struggling to find an audience for its dissatisfied star, the Bulls’ asking price is still high.

Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports said that, “The Bulls are still searching for the type of haul that a multi-time All-Star typically draws,” referring to LaVine’s résumé. This haul would reportedly consist of an established starter, a young player with upside, and first-round draft money.

As a seasoned starter, Russell is perfect for the job. This is where Hood-Schifino, the promising young player, fits in. The Lakers’ 2029 or 2030 selection is appealing due to the fact that LeBron James will have retired by then and Anthony Davis may not be in Los Angeles anymore. LaVine’s 30s will have passed at that point.

With Davis and LaVine, the Lakers can go all-in this year and next if James exercises his player option for $51.4 million.
