Black with silver coves was the color the car was repainted in when it was previously owned. The exterior features include a white convertible soft top, a removable hardtop in the same color as the body, a windshield that wraps around the vehicle, bumpers made of split chrome, and two exhaust outlets that go out the back of the vehicle via the uprights of the bumpers. The gallery below provides a close-up view of the finish cracks and other defects.

Mounted on 15.5″ steel wheels with 6.70-15 Firestone Deluxe Champion tires are covers with imitation knock-off spinners. An independent front suspension and semi-elliptical rear leaf springs were standard equipment for this vehicle. There are brake drums on each corner.

A twin-cowl dashboard, door panels, and carpets are color-coordinated with the red vinyl-trimmed twin bucket seats and the rest of the updated cabin. The vehicle comes equipped with a floor-mounted shifter, a clock, a rearview mirror positioned on the dash, and an AM radio from Wonder Bar.

A 140 mph speedometer is framed by the three-spoke steering wheel, while a tachometer, ammeter, fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure gauges are located in the center of the instrument panel. The odometer reads 70,000 kilometers.

It is said that the engine was refurbished under previous ownership, and the 283ci V8 has Rochester Ramjet mechanical fuel injection. Among the optional extras are valve covers with fins and the Corvette script, a chrome ignition cover, and an open-element air cleaner. A complete fuel injection system overhaul, oil change, and replacement of spark plugs, gaskets, seals, and nozzle blocks were all part of the 2020 service.

Above you can see the engine pad’s stamping. For a 1957 Corvette equipped with fuel injection and a manual gearbox, the EL suffix is in keeping with a 283ci V8 that produces 283 horsepower.

A four-speed manual gearbox and a PosiTraction limited-slip differential transfer power to the back wheels.

There is a discrepancy between the VIN on the title (E575101592) and the one on the vehicle identification tag (VIN E57S101592).
