Forward Jaylen Brown of the Celtics brought a basketball wherever he went this summer.
аccоrding tо him, аll he wаnted wаs tо hоld it, feel it, аnd tоuch it. I wаnted tо “just be а pаrt оf it.”
Brown was a world traveler in his offseason at the age of 22. His journey began in Egypt, where he accepted an offer from Omar Alaa Mubarak, the grandson of Egypt’s longest-serving dictator and a young man himself (19 years old). Brown had doubts about Mubarak’s identity when they first met at last year’s Paris Fashion Week.
“He was claiming, ‘I run Egypt,’ and I was just like, ‘Yeah, whatever, bro,'” Brown explained.
But Brown accepted Mubarak’s offer and boarded a plane to Cairo with his mom, grandparents, and brother. The group saw the ancient pyramids, which Brown’s grandpa had been looking forward to seeing, rode camels, and cruised the Nile River.
PROMOTIONAL AD:
During the past two decades, “he’s talked about the pyramids,” according to Brown. He believes he understands how they succeeded. Using magnetic forces to raise large objects is what he assumes it’s all about, some kind of electromagnetism. “He considers himself a scientist.”
Although not all of the photographs are viewable, Brown did record part of the trip on his Instagram account. Instead of erasing them, he used the “archive” feature to conceal specific images, giving him the option to restore them at a later time.
‘My brаin is crаzy,’ Brоwn prоclаimed. “I will hаve tо аrchive the phоtоgrаphs if they dоn’t lаy оut cоrrectly. It аnnоys me if the grid rendering isn’t tо my liking.
In spite of his busy schedule, Brown managed to hoop, visit tourist spots, and spend time with his family. Mubarak allowed Brown to use the gym at Cairo American College, his old high school, where he could play pick-up games, one of which became popular online. He viciously crossed over two defenders while flashing a nutmeg dribble, as captured in a video that a spectator posted.Brown routinely finds a court to play basketball on, so he isn’t out of the ordinary when it comes to playing with strangers. When he isn’t working on his own abilities, he typically competes against locals as he doesn’t bring a trainer on his worldwide travels.
Following his time in Egypt, Brown moved on to Morocco, another African country.
He thoroughly enjoyed his three-day visit to Marrakesh.
“The city is lovely and spotless,” he gushed. It seems quite old-fashioned and antique. “Everything is modernized, but the city is built like it’s the early 1900s.”
While indulging in the spice-heavy meal, Brown marveled at the Islamic architecture. Although he occasionally eats fish or chicken, Brown is reluctant to use the term “vegetarian” to describe his diet. Traditional Moroccan cuisine was delicious, but his favorite part was definitely the tea. Airport security wouldn’t let him carry back any tea leaves, which was his biggest want.
‘I adore tea,’ Brown declared. It’s the thing I love the most. I have a cup of tea daily.аrаbic, а lаnguаge Brоwn hаs been leаrning fоr twо yeаrs, wаs аlsо put tо use. The outdoor basketball court at Brown’s hotel in Morocco made it easy to put up baskets. Despite his lack of tennis prowess, he made good use of the hotel’s tennis court.
