During Haddish’s 44-year-old appearance on a recent episode of SiriusXM’s This Life of Mine with James Corden, the presenter inquired about the actress and comedian’s claim that Hart, 44, had assisted her in the early stages of her career when she was having trouble finding housing. Haddish, who has been candid in the past about having been homeless, said that Hart had came to her aid when he discovered she was living in her car while they were performing in sketch comedy shows at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles.

“I would be tardy. I did not want my automobile to be seen by anyone. She added that one day Hart had questioned her about why she had so many possessions in her car. “I would park a little farther away or I would pull up and let the valet take the car,” she said.

“He asks, ‘Are you homeless or what?'” She remembered replying, “I’m like, ‘Ah, I’m just in between houses right now.'” “‘Let’s talk about that.’ ‘Nah, nah, I don’t want to talk about it.’ ‘No, we gonna talk about it after the show,’ and I try to avoid, avoid,” she explained.

Haddish recounted that the Ride Along actress handed her $300 right away to locate a place to stay after disclosing to him that she was homeless, expressing grave anxiety at the news. The Girls Trip star claimed that even though $300 would not cover a month’s rent, she used the funds to book a hotel room so that she could take a shower and relax for the day. Hart then put her in touch with a realtor, who assisted her in finding an apartment. It аppeаreԀ tо be а crаck Ԁen. It requireԀ а greаt Ԁeаl оf lаbоr. The wаlls hаԀ а yellоw hue. When she first sаw the аpаrtment, she stаteԀ, “It smelleԀ bаԀ.” The rug wаs reаlly Ԁirty. It wаs repulsive, аnԀ аs I lооkeԀ аbоut, I wаs аstоunԀeԀ tо see rоаches. I have it still. Even though I had to mend it myself, I managed to get it.”Haddish has previously discussed Hart’s generosity, most notably during a 2018 interview with Vanity Fair while she was promoting the movie Night School, which they co-wrote.

He says he’s very proud of me and all that when he sees me. He also consistently gives me the greatest counsel. I make an effort to hear him out. I don’t always. At that point, she remarked of Hart, “And then I’ll be like, ‘Dang, I should’ve listened,'” noting that he had declined to return the $300 he had given her.
