It would be reasonable to assume that Dominik Szoboszlai is settling in well to Merseyside after seeing his constantly electrifying performances throughout his first half-year with Liverpool.

Mark Soos, a writer for Fodball, got an open and honest interview from the 23-year-old on his life away from the football field.

Szoboszlai has confessed to feeling “lonely” on occasion during his stay in England, according to a comment translated by Bence Bocsak on X.

“ι wоulԀ bе uttеrly ԀιsҺо𝚗еst ιf ι clаιmеԀ ι 𝚗еvеr fеlt lо𝚗еly sоmеtιmеs,” tҺе Lιvеrρооl ρlаyеr аԀmιttеԀ. Sоmеtιmеs ι sιmρly wа𝚗t tо Ԁо 𝚗оtҺι𝚗g а𝚗Ԁ sιt о𝚗 tҺе cоucҺ а𝚗Ԁ tҺι𝚗k. аftеr tҺаt, ι wаtcҺ а mоvιе а𝚗Ԁ аttеmρt tо gо tо slееρ, lооkι𝚗g fоrwаrԀ tо tҺе 𝚗еxt Ԁаy.

It’s easy to think that professional football players should be able to realize their goals because they’re such valuable goods, like Teflon.

Despite their seemingly flawless public personas, the football players we cheer for each week are human beings who experience the same ups and downs as the rest of us.

Keep in mind that Szoboszlai is still adjusting to life in England, having just turned 23 years old and bringing with him a new language and culture (though his English is superb), all while under pressure to repay the £60 million fee paid for him by one of the biggest clubs in the world of football.

Even more crucial than seeing him perform miracles on the field is ensuring that he has a positive and healthy life off it here in Merseyside.

Thanks to Jurgen Klopp, he has a manager who understands and empathizes with his struggles with vulnerability and loneliness off the field, and he deserves a lot of respect for being brave enough to admit it.

We pray that Szoboszlai has a strong network of friends and family members to lean on when times are tough away from Anfield.
