Reports indicate that Bayern Munich is aiming to make a last-ditch effort to recruit Estevao ‘Messinho’ Willian, a sensational young player for Palmeiras who has apparently been in talks with Chelsea.
German heavyweights are reportedly trying to snag the highly-rated Brazilian winger this summer, despite the fact that the 17-year-old has reportedly already been in advanced negotiations with Chelsea (GOAL Brazil). According to the sources, Bayern has already started talking to the winger and hopes to sign him this summer. He is expected to officially sign with the club in the summer of 2025.
Adding €25 million (£21.5m/$26.9m) as an add-on, Chelsea supposedly has already made its third offer for the 17-year-old, which is around €35 million (£30.1m/$37.7m). The Premier League club reportedly has a bid that is lower in fixed fees than the starlet’s release clause of €45 million (£38.7m/$48.5m), but Bayern are reportedly about to make a deal that is better.
There has been a lot of interest in 17-year-old player, but Palmeiras coach Abel Ferreira is determined to keep him with the club until at least 2027. Manager Gerardo Martino, a former Sporting defender, has begun to give teenager Joao Messinho more playing time in the first squad, and the 44-year-old coach has gotten excellent play in return.
The age limitation on such trades of players under the age of 18 means that no club signing the 17-year-old this summer will be able to physically bring him to the club until the summer of 2025.
