Along with his loved ones, Dwyane Wade is reveling in yet another major victory.

On Thursday, May 9, the 42-year-old retired NBA great was accompanied by his wife Gabrielle Union and daughter Zaya as they showed their support for him at the Netflix Is A Joke Festival 2024.

At the Miracle Theater in Inglewood, California, the family went to see the basketball legend’s stand-up comedy show, When We Gather.

Next to his wife and 16-year-old daughter, Wade posed with a white cardigan, wide-legged brown slacks, and white sneakers.

Zaya wore a white shirt-and-skirt combo, black leather jacket, black shades, and brown boots to complete the look, while Union, 51, sported a red latex dress accessorized with a gold necklace.

Also in attendance was Jolinda Wade, the mother of the former Heat player. She wore a pink suit with a white button-up underneath. Photos of the family at the event and on the red carpet complement Wade’s Instagram posts.

Before the show, Wade told Netflix that this was the “first time” he and his production firm had ever dabbled in humor.

Guests at the gathering, which allegedly included Chris Spencer and Janelle James, were invited because “laughter transcends differences and cultivates connection,” he remarked. A common interest in comedy serves as the unifying force in When We Gather. All of us will be united for one amazing night by these gifted comedians, and for that I am eternally grateful.Even though not all of the Wade children were present at their father’s event, it seems like they’re all behind their parents. During Monday, May 6th’s Met Gala, Union told PEOPLE that her 5-year-old daughter Kaavia was the real inspiration behind her mermaid-like design this year.

“She is the one who inspired this,” Kaavia told Union. To put it simply, she adores being in the water. ‘Mommy, you look like a mermaid!’ she exclaimed. This was Union and Wade’s fifth Met Gala together, and they looked absolutely stunning in Monday’s fashion show. For this year’s “The Garden of Time” theme, Wade matched his lilac Versace suit with his wife’s high-neck Michael Kors dress.
