The 1970 Dodge Challenger coupe has black interior and a white exterior

Its 440ci V8 engine and three-speed automatic transmission are housed under the hood. The vehicle had quad exhaust outlets, a sport bonnet, staggered-width tires, Rallye 14″ wheels, and front disc brakes.

Numerous improvements have been done to the car since the seller purchased it in 2020. These include of installing a Performer intake manifold, an Edelbrock 650-cfm carburetor, and an MSD electronic ignition module.

This Dodge Challenger is available right now in Ohio and has a full history of service records going all the way back to 2019. It also comes with a transferable New York registration that is presently held by the seller.

Light Gold Metallic (FY4) paint and Special Edition stylistic elements were applied when the vehicle was taken out of the factory. The engine compartment and door jambs have both been painted white under a previous ownership. The fenders and grille now sport R/T emblems, while additional features include quad exhaust outlets, a chrome side mirror, a full-size rear window, and dual hood scoops. Under the present ownership, ground wires for the taillight sockets are allegedly inserted. The seller points out that the right rear quarter panel clearly shows signs of previous repairs, the front valance is dented and out of alignment, the trunk floor has paint flaws and pinholes, and the trunk lid is challenging to close.

The front bucket seats and rear bench in the cabin are finished in black fabric, and the carpets and door panels match the color scheme. The dashboard, center console, doors, and steering wheel are all accentuated with woodgrain detail. The vehicle lacks a horn, the quarter windows don’t wind down, the door-window regulators might need to be serviced, the radio has been taken out, and the windshield wipers don’t self-park, according to the seller. The vehicle has air conditioning controls, but the system is no longer in place, and the heating hasn’t been checked.

Under previous ownership, the new 440ci V8 was installed. It was rebuilt in 2019 using a camshaft, timing set, and valve springs from Comp Cams. Under current ownership, an Edelbrock AVS2 650-cfm carburetor, an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, and an Edelbrock electric fuel pump were fitted in addition to an MSD electronic ignition module. The seller reports that the engine hesitates occasionally when running, that the voltage meter occasionally lowers to between 11.5 and 12.0 volts when the car is being driven, and that there is an occasional ticking sound coming from the passenger-side cylinder head.

The car was originally a 1970 Challenger SE hardtop (JH29), according to the fender tag, and it had a 318ci V8 with a two-barrel carburetor (E44) and a three-speed A904 automatic transmission (D31). The tag also states that the vehicle’s original finish was Light Gold Metallic (FY4), with a bucket-seat interior with black leather upholstery (HRX9) and a black complete vinyl top (V1X).

Because it is registered in a state where titles for cars of that age are not issued, the car is untitled. With its transferable New York registration, it is being sold.
