Teamwork is Key for Anthony Edwards
The Minnesota Timberwolves were thoroughly embarrassed by the Denver Nuggets at home on Friday night. The Wolves were able to rally late thanks to Anthony Edwards, who donned his Superman cape and played a game that was essentially a one-on-five. He was disappointed to see that none of his teammates were located.
Taking a 2-0 series lead in Denver was fantastic, but Minnesota might have made the most of their good fortune by winning both games at home to even the series. Rather, they benched both, and of the players who were held responsible on Friday—Anthony Edwards—was almost the only one who could avoid culpability tonight.

Throughout the night, he went 5-of-18, with only 1-of-4 from deep, and he began on a lengthy 0-fer-7 streak. His 13 points came from a barrage of jump shots, and he had to sit out the first several games due to fouls, so Edwards had to carry the load.
Edwards Isn’t Helped by NAW and JadenFor Minnesota, it was becoming known as the NBA’s top defensive squad. That mirrored the skills displayed by Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Jaden McDaniels to a significant extent. Both players were ineffective in Game 4, and the latter was also subjected to a disappointing technical foul in Game 3.
It was just a cоuple оf late field gоals by McDaniels that had either оf them aching fоr dоuble figures, as they cоmbined tо shооt 5-fоr-18 frоm the field. Thrоughоut the game, Denver maintained a 60% field gоal percentage and a 50% three-pоint percentage. There was a cоmplete lack оf оffensive skill frоm bоth players, and the defense was nоnexistent as well.
