This 1974 Chevrolet Nova hatchback was one of around 14,463 that were manufactured with the Spirit of America package in honor of the forthcoming US bicentennial in 1976. The vehicle’s white exterior and red and blue stripes are eye-catching, and the white inside is as remarkable. The strong 350ci V8 engine and three-speed automatic transmission power this Nova. An AM/FM radio, power steering, 14″ Rally-style wheels, air conditioning, dual exhaust, power-assisted front disc brakes, power steering, and a black vinyl roof cover are some of the notable features.

The selling dealer recently bought this Nova in April 2023; it was originally delivered to Holstine Motors Inc. of Newton, Kansas. Reupholstering the front seats, resealing the valve covers, and replacing the shocks and different brake components are all part of the recent maintenance work that began in 2022. A clean title from Idaho, together with manufacturing paperwork, a window sticker, and a partial build sheet are important things included in the transaction.

The vehicle, which was originally delivered in Antique White (11), has Spirit of America decals and red and blue stripes, which are symbols of patriotism. It has two chrome exhaust outlets, one behind each rear wheel, black vinyl for part of the roof, and chrome bumpers. It also has two Sport side mirrors. Having said that, the stripes are starting to fade and there’s rust on the quarter panels behind each rear wheel. You can find close-up pictures of these flaws, as well as paint meter readings, in the gallery down below.

Shiny trim rings and center caps adоrn the car’s white 14-inch Rally wheels. In 2003, these wheels were shоd with 205/70 Sigma Shadоw narrоw-whitewall tires. Pоwer steering and frоnt and rear disc brakes with pоwer assist are standard features. The shоck absоrbers were rebuilt in 2022 and the brake wоrn cоmpоnents were replaced as well. Nоtably, the wheel trim rings have nоticeable abrasiоns and indentatiоns.

Prior to the sale, the front bucket seats were reupholstered in white vinyl. They are accompanied by a similar fold-down rear bench, a headliner and interior panels that harmonize in color, and carpeting that contrasts in red. Air conditioning, rubber floor mats branded by General Motors, a center console, and an AM/FM radio with a timer are all part of the appointment.

A fuel level gauge and a speedometer with a range of 120 mph are housed into a two-spoke steering wheel. There are 78,000 miles on the odometer, with the selling dealer adding less than 100 of those miles.

The 350ci L65 V8 had a two-barrel carburetor as standard equipment and could produce 145 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque at the time of manufacture. A three-speed automatic gearbox transfers the engine’s power to the back wheels. It is believed that the valve covers were resealed in 2022.
