According to Snoop Dogg, who appeared on “The Stephen A. Smith Show,” the Los Angeles Lakers would be the ideal team for the four-time NBA champion to sign with when he hits free agency next month.

Snoop Dogg expressed his optimism to Smith about the possibility of acquiring a Klay Thompson. “Since his dad is Mychal, who plays for the Lakers, getting there is a breeze.”

There have been rumors linking the Warriors veteran to the Orlando Magic, even though Golden State general manager Mike Dunleavy has stated the team’s want to retain Thompson. Dunleavy asserts that Thompson and the franchise have a “mutual” desire to remain in the Bay Area.

After averaging 17.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in his eleventh season in the NBA, Thompson was benched in February, leading Snoop Dogg to speculate that coach Steve Kerr no longer sees the 34-year-old guard as an integral part of his offense.

“I meаn, he dоesn’t fit with them аnymоre,” Snооp Dоgg put it. His impоrtаnce is being dоwnplаyed by them. He thrives when given wide оpen lооks, which is why he shоuld plаy оn а teаm thаt аllоws it.

For the moment, he’s battling for possession of the ball. Plus, that’s not his style. Kerr would most likely use the Splash Brother in a pivotal role if Thompson signs a contract deal with the Warriors this summer. A different discussion needs to take place over whether Thompson is amenable to that for the forthcoming season.

However, if Snoop Dogg is to be believed, Thompson would not face that problem in Los Angeles.

However, the iconic rapper is well-known for being an ardent Lakers supporter, and Thompson is expected to be among the most decorated players available in this year’s free agency market.
