In Game 5 of the series against the Cavaliers, Celtics forward Jayson Tatum removed his receipt following a technical foul
Wednesday night’s 113-98 victory by the Boston Celtics against the Cleveland Cavaliers ended their NBA Playoffs series and advanced the Celtics to their sixth Eastern Conference final appearance in the last eight years.
With 25 points, 10 boards, 9 assists, and 4 steals, Jayson Tatum was the Celtics’ undisputed leader. Near the conclusion of the second quarter, he was also assessed a technical foul. Following his successful step-back 3-pointer attempt over Evan Mobley, Tatum felt he had been fouled and informed the authorities of his suspicions.A foul should have been called because Mobley touched Tatum on the arm as he shot the ball, as is clearly seen in the image. The final score was 58-52 Celtics, thanks to a technical free throw by Darius Garland.
