This 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 is a one-of-a-kind example from a small production run of approximately 850 vehicles. Notably, it has the Kar Kraft number KK1934 on it. The original destination of the vehicle’s dispatch was Rice and Holman Ford in Pennsauken, New Jersey. Remarkably, the original owner remained in ownership all the way up until 2013. Reportedly, the Arizona-based restoration company Anghel Restorations worked on the vehicle in the 2000s. The automobile, which the selling dealer bought in 2014, became famous in June 2016 after appearing on Jay Leno’s Garage.
The car was sent out of the factory in its original Candyapple Red color with black Clarion Knit vinyl seats. Equipped with a Traction-Lok differential and a close-ratio four-speed manual transmission, it is powered by a sturdy 429ci V8 engine. Some of the notable factory-installed equipment include a power steering system, power-assisted front disc brakes, a center console, a Philco AM radio, a front spoiler, a battery mounted in the trunk, color-keyed race mirrors, and a competitive suspension.
The bundle that comes with this particular Boss 429 is extensive. A Pennsylvania title, factory invoices, original sales documentation, an Ownercard, factory literature, an Elite Marti report, photographs documenting the restoration effort, records, and a build sheet are all part of the package.

For the 1969 and 1970 model years, the 429 engine could be homologated for use in NASCAR with the Boss 429. Kar Kraft of Brighton, Michigan, finished production and assigned a unique serial number to each unit. The original color scheme for this model is Candyapple Red (T), and its serial number is KK1934. In the 2000s, it underwent bodywork, including a replacement left door skin, after having its SportsRoof body stripped and rotisserie-mounted. It was then repainted. Boss 429 fender badging, color-keyed racing mirrors, quarter panel scoops, reverse lights, a hood scoop, driving lamps, a front spoiler, and a dual-outlet exhaust that exits below the rear bumper are some of the features.
