It is unknown to the rest of the world what they would call the child that was born in February of 2023; nevertheless, Reynolds revealed that all three of their firstborn children were mentioned in Tay’s song “Betty.”

Ryan Reynolds is aware of when it is appropriate to avoid upsetting the status quo. In addition to discussing his role in the upcoming animated film about imaginary friends directed by John Krasinski, the co-star of the television show IF and co-owner of Wrexham A.F.C. made an appearance on The Today Show on Monday morning (May 13) to discuss his role in the film. He also provided some information regarding one of the most hotly debated questions in Hollywood: what did he and his wife Blake Lively decide to call their fourth child?
In a conversation with Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb, the co-hosts of Today, Reynolds quipped that the only person who might know the baby’s name is the most famous pop artist in the world. The pair has made it a habit to keep their children’s faces (and names) hidden from the public eye. At one point, Guthrie asked Reynolds, “Taylor Swift keeps dropping it into lyrics… ” Guthrie was nearly begging Reynolds to come up with the moniker. To what extent does the name of the baby, who is the fourth kid, appear anywhere in the record?
The record in question is, of course, Taylor Swift’s mega-selling album The Tortured Poets Department. Reynolds, who is renowned for his acerbic wit and deadpan quips, swiftly responded by saying, “We always wait for Taylor to tell us what the child’s name will be.” This is something that we will say: we are still waiting.
Reynolds expressed a pretend panicked tone as he asked, “What are we doing here?” while making a cheeky reference to the fact that Swift is obviously a prolific writer.
Putting aside jokes, Reynolds has a legitimate cause to wait for Swift’s approval, as the singer had already revealed the names of her A-list friends’ other three children in the song “Betty” from the Folklore album that won a Grammy in 2020. In addition to the couple’s older sisters Inez, who is seven and a half years old, and James, who is nine years old, the title of that song mentions the couple’s third child, a daughter named Betty who is four and a half years old.
In May of the previous year, at a visit in Philadelphia on her Eras Tour, Taylor Swift screamed out the couple’s first-born trio as she was singing “All Too Well” at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Despite the fact that Lively and Reynolds welcomed their fourth child in February of 2023, they have not yet discussed the name of their child.
