In the 2023–24 Premier League’s 38th round home matchup versus Bournemouth, Thiago Silva got the start. Silva announced before to the game that he will be leaving Chelsea at the end of the current campaign.
The midfielder from Brazil is poised to leave Fluminense and head back home after verbally agreeing to join. During the final game at Stamford Bridge, the 1984-born hero and his teammates overcame Bournemouth 2-1, to the delight of the Chelsea supporters.
Chelsea has solidified their seventh-place standings with three wins, and they will participate in the European Cup once again the following year. Silva was moved to tears when he saw the Chelsea players form two rows to greet the arrival of his wife and kids following the game.
The day the Brazilian player bid Chelsea farewell, he broke down in tears. “My dream is to see my children play for you,” he then disclosed. Many thanks, Chelsea. I’m grateful, fans. I cherish each and every one of you. “Goodbye.”
In his four years with Chelsea, Thiago Silva participated in 152 games and won three championships, including the Champions League in the 2020–2021 campaign.
