Drederick played basketball professionally in the past.

In his own right, Drederick was a basketball prodigy for the Australian Bulleen Boomers. That came before his time as a star player at Boston University on the basketball court.

“Knowing my mom passed away and left me such a powerful, empowering family such as Standing Rock… to be a part of it now, this is family for life,” Irving shared in an interview at the time.
