Los Angeles Lakers Star Austin Reaves fails to qualify for the Korn Ferry Tour tournament

Guard Austin Reaves of the Los Angeles Lakers scored 19 points in a loss to the Denver Nuggets on April 29. The Nuggets won the NBA Playoff series 4-1.

After telling a friend he was bored and needed to do something, Reaves went to Tennessee on Monday to try to get into the Visit Knoxville Open, which is part of the Korn Ferry Tour (as reported by the L.A. Times).At Knoxville’s Three Ridges Golf Course, Reaves shot 76, which is six over par. To go to Thursday’s first round, 65 were required.

 

 

 

 

 

Reaves later told the L.A. Times, “I was lying on the couch the other day and I was bored. I called [my friend] and said, ‘Find me a Monday qualifier around here.'” This was spoken after his round.

The 25-year-old scored a par on the par-70 course, including six bogeys and one triple bogey.

Reaves was nervous, he told the Times. For the first time ever, I felt confident as I stepped onto the tee box, certain that I would win… and things turned out differently.

While playing with the Lakers this season, Reaves averaged 15.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game. In his third season with the club, he started every game.
