The 23-year-old played an integral role in England’s U21 squad’s triumph at the European Championship in Georgia last summer. This season, he has earned his first senior squad call-up after making 36 appearances for Liverpool.

Because Southgate will reduce his team to 26 players before the tournament, Jones’s spot in the competition is still up in the air. His partner will probably be present in Germany to observe him if he decides to go there.
