Inside Klay Thompson of the Warriors spends $2.2 million on a mansion in Dana Point

Klay Thompson, one half of the Warriors’ sweet-shooting “Splash Brothers,” now has a splashy new place to call home to go along with his newfound championship status.

After contributing to the Warriors’ run to the NBA Finals, the shooting guard made time for another kind of play earlier this year: he purchased an ocean-view home in Dana Point for $2.2 million.

Spanish-style ranch house with a pool and Jacuzzi, two separate guest casitas, and a 100-foot-wide patio with magnificent ocean views; located on over a quarter of an acre in the Capo Beach region.

The single-story home has exposed beams and vaulted ceilings in the living room and dining room, plus a wet bar, pool table, and lounge space in the detached entertainment wing. There are three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms in the over 2,400 square foot space, including a master suite with an ocean view and his and hers bathrooms.

Two-car garages stand on either side of the house’s front door.

The Multiple listed Service indicates that Michael Boyd of Coldwell Banker acted as the listed agent. Thompson was represented in the February transaction by Century 21 OMA’s Casey Wootan.

During the regular season, Thompson, the son of former Los Angeles Lakers forward-center Mychal Thompson, scored 21.7 points per game while shooting 43.9% from beyond the arc to earn his fourth all-star selection in the NBA. The 25-year-old player re-upped with the Warriors for four more seasons in November for a reported $70 million.
