Roberto De Zerbi has been in the news a lot recently, but he doesn’t appear in Ornstein’s report—which seems unusual given all the coverage he’s received in the past two days regarding Chelsea.

But Ornstein does rule out one contender—Kieran McKenna, manager of Ipswich Town. Chelsea, he claims, are no longer thinking about him.

Sky Sports News' Kaveh Solhekol reveals the leading contenders to replace  Mauricio Pochettino as Chelsea boss.

According to him, the only two known candidates for the position of head coach are Enzo Maresca of Leicester City and Thomas Frank of Brentford.So, if these are the only remaining “known” possibilities, it would imply that Chelsea might be considering additional candidates for the role—candidates who have either not been published or who are unknown to him and his sources—but we are unaware of them.

Although this leaves the door open for additional twists and turns in the managerial search, it does raise the possibility that Maresca, who has been the subject of much speculation as of late, will be named Chelsea’s next manager.
