Of the three superstars who have contributed significantly to the Golden State Warriors’ ascent to prominence—Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Stephen Curry—only Thompson’s deal has not been extended.

In this discussion, he was extremely forthright about his plans for the future with the Golden State Warriors.If somebody were to ask me, I would always respond that I have no desire to travel anywhere. According to Thompson, “loyalty is a very special thing, and also very rare in sports today.” “I respect loyalty because it is a very special thing because it is very rare.”

Klay Thompson personally does not want to leave the Warriors

“To play my whole career for one team would be great, as if I would become a legend of that team. Look at Udonis Haslem in Miami, he became a symbol of the club and was even revered by the whole city.

 

I’ve been here (Golden State Warriors – PV) since before championship banners were hung on the ceiling of the stadium, so I wouldn’t want to give up this team easily,” Thompson added  .

 

Klay Thompson has been with the Golden State Warriors for 12 years and has a special relationship with the Golden Gate team.

Klay Thompson is about to enter his 13th season in the NBA and according to the above share, he is ready to accept his entire career with the Golden State Warriors.

This is the team that selected him in the 2011 NBA Draft, and is also the place that helped Klay make a name for himself by becoming one of the best shooters of all time.

 

Since Thompson entered the NBA until now (since 2011), he has had the 4th most 3-pointers in the entire league despite losing the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons due to injury.

Despite losing 2 seasons without playing due to injury, Klay Thompson still has the 4th most successful 3-pointers in the NBA in the past 12 years.

Last season alone, Klay regained his form in Regular Season with 301 3-pointers all season, reaching a rate of up to 41.2% 3PT. NBA history has only seen three players ever shoot more than 300 3-pointers in a season: Klay, Stephen Curry and James Harden.

Although the contract extension story is an important part of any player, Klay said he will try to focus entirely on his expertise to achieve the best results with the team.

“ I won’t let it affect me too much because personally I never want to go anywhere. I’m in a great place, in good shape and everything is stable. I will focus completely on this season and hope for the best ,” Klay Thompson shared.
