Barcelona promote ‘talented’ 20-year-old Spanish attacking midfielder

According to journalist Oscar Mendez, Barcelona is attempting to recruit Fer Lopez, a talented 20-year-old from Celta Vigo.

Lopez, an offensive midfielder, scored seven goals and contributed three assists during a stellar season in the Primera RFEF.

He is likely to be promoted to Celta’s senior squad for the upcoming season as a result of his excellent play.

It is important to remember that Lopez’s current contract will expire in 2025. Barcelona is still quite interested in him, despite the fact that Celta is actively working on extending his contract.

Celta is requesting a prolongation. Many teams have reportedly scouted the 20-year-old this season, but Barcelona has reportedly expressed the greatest interest.

But Blaugrana’s affiliate team can’t afford to pay a hefty transfer fee, so when his contract expires in a year, they intend to sign him for nothing.

The player and his representatives have been in talks with Celta’s management for a number of months.

In order to retain Lopez with the team for a long time, they want to make sure he knows how important he is to their future. Their plan is to draft a deal that would allow him to join the first squad progressively.

Barcelona is tenacious, but Celta have a plan. Lopez is expected to begin training with the first squad on a regular basis. The midfielder in the First Division will see some playing time if the manager of the first team feels he is ready.

Surprisingly, a lot of people at the team believe he is Iago Aspas’s natural successor because he plays in the same position—directly behind the center forward—and has comparable skills.

However, given their financial limitations, Barcelona can only hope that Lopez decides not to extend his contract with Celta Vigo. If Lopez chooses not to sign a contract extension, Barcelona intends to sign him the following year for nothing.
