Something like, “I’ve never heard Messi speak English before,” was written by someone on X.”I never imagined this day would arrive,” someone else remarked.

Teammate Julian Gressel recently disclosed that the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner has been speaking English while playing. The winner himself does not speak English publicly. In March, the German fullback made an appearance on the Player Manager podcast, when he revealed that he and Leo had been laughing about something since the very beginning.

“I inquired as to his proficiency in English, and his response was, ‘no, not really. Your Spanish is probably better than my English,'” he continued.

I then ask him, “English, pretty good, no?” I thought, “Yes, that’s great!” I grasped the concept completely.
