Everything is in the hands of the New York Knicks. What will they do with it now?
According to rumors circulating in Phoenix, the Suns are allegedly “willing to offer almost anything” to acquire Devin Booker so that Jalen Brunson and he may form a backcourt duo in New York.
The story says that Booker would aspire to be one of those “Sun for Life” types, like his hero Kobe Bryant.
On top of that, the Suns might choose to sit on their loaded but underperforming squad and see how it develops. I can see why Phoenix would take that phone call; after all, if the Knicks are “willing to offer almost anything” and have the players and draft resources to make a monster offer, then there’s no reason not to.
The 27-year-old Booker has been a veterinarian for nine years and is currently under contract for the foreseeable future. His combination with Brunson would form an unstoppable New York backcourt, giving the Knicks the “second star” they’re missing at the moment.
The Knicks would be wise to make the call. They would have to convince the Suns to see reason.
