For $22,000 a month, you can rent a condominium in Miami with some significant NBA heritage.
The glittering three-bedroom mansion was once owned by Kevin Durant, the great forward for the Phoenix Suns. During his time with the Oklahoma City Thunder, the 14-time All-Star—widely regarded as one of the best players in NBA history—owned the venue for about four years. Based on data with PropertyShark, he purchased it in 2011 for slightly more than $1.8 million and resold it in 2015 for $3.15 million. According to Marko Gojanovic and Reid Heidenry of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty’s MR Luxury Group, the home’s theater was designed by Durant himself, and speakers were installed throughout the residence.
The 3,500-square-foot mansion has a theater, plenty of living and eating space, a chef’s kitchen, a bar, windows that go all the way to the ceiling, a terrace that wraps around the house, and views of the bay, the ocean, and the city skyline, as stated in the ad.
Listed for $2.41 million in 2021, the penthouse was last sold, according to documents. A limited liability corporation is the owner. Guests will be impressed with the spaciousness, according to Gojanovic. “The layout is designed to create a smooth transition between different spaces, from the kitchen and dining area to the family room and terraces.”
On the other hand, the building provides a plethora of services to its residents, such as steam rooms, saunas, pools, a fitness center, and a playroom for children.
For high-end luxury goods, “there is still quite a bit of demand for Miami,” according to Gojanovic. Penthouses in high-rise buildings with many facilities command premium pricing.
