Blockbuster is about to appear: Bayern Munich targets the Barcelona midfielder to replace Kimmich

Numerous Barcelona players will be accustomed to seeing their names at the forefront of transfer rumors as the summer transfer window approaches.

Frenkie de Jong is among the players whose future is still shrouded in mystery and who is expected to be featured frequently in the media.

A departure is almost certain because of the fact that his pay will become a significant financial burden for the team and since his athletic abilities have drawn criticism.

De Jong is on Bayern Munich’s list of potential targets.

Frankie de Jong is currently one of Bayern Munich’s top transfer targets for this summer, according to Christian Falk.

The Bavarians had a challenging season because they were defeated by rivals Borussia Dortmund, who advanced to the competition’s finals, in the UEFA Champions League and lost to Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.

They are therefore keen to strengthen their position and are considering using De Jong’s midfield skills to restore their supremacy.

The Dutchman is now rehabilitating from an injury, and he has a deadline to meet in order to be fit for the European Championship in Germany.

Barcelona’s position in regard to de Jong

It should be mentioned that the 27-year-old would command a high price, giving Barcelona a serious opportunity to pursue their goal of getting back to the 1:1 rule in La Liga.

Furthermore, if the team secures a top-tier midfield player to replace De Jong, Hansi Flick would be willing to supervise his departure even though he appreciates De Jong in his lineup.

Joshua Kimmich, a former teammate, is one of the players that Flick really wants to sign, so De Jong’s sale to Bayern Munich may make room for him to come or open the door for a trade.
