Mohamed Salah debuted his new hairstyle while playing for Egypt’s national team, leading Liverpool fans to believe that their star player had undergone a hair transplant.

Last month, the 31-year-old shocked his admirers by posting an Instagram selfie of himself without his famous afro.

After seeing photos of the Reds forward reporting for international service, fans are now certain that Salah has had a treatment to prevent baldness, even if they first thought he was just choosing a new style.

 

They also seem to be holding out hope that next season’s enhanced performance on the field will be the result of the purported hair transplant.

Despite all the naysayers, the Reds star managed to contribute to 28 goals in 32 Premier League appearances.

That total increased to 39 contributions across all competitions in 44 appearances.

The Egyptian’s future with the Merseyside club is being discussed more and more as Salah’s contract at Anfield is scheduled to end in 2025.

Last summer, the 31-year-old was the object of rumors that he was planning a massive transfer to Saudi Arabia.
