During the next several months, Chelsea’s recruitment team will have to make some important decisions regarding both new hires and potential departures. Robert Sanchez, Dorse Petrovic, and Kepa Arrizabalaga are all goalkeepers for the club; Arrizabalaga will also be back from Real Madrid’s loan.

There are now two other candidates being considered.According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the shortlist appears to include more than just Ramsdale and Valles. James Trafford of Burnley and Filip Jorgensen of Villarreal are also reportedly being considered by the hierarchy at Chelsea.

With 28 starts out of 38 Premier League games played, Trafford was a member of Burnley’s relegated side from the previous season. Jorgensen, in contrast, has made 44 senior games for Villarreal since being promoted to the first squad in January of last year, despite just being 22 years old.

If a change is necessary, Chelsea has considered players like James Trafford and Filip Jorgensen. However, Chelsea will also be concerned with outgoings.

“Its not just about who they’re going to hire and who they’re going to promote.”

This deal, which Jorgensen last extended in 2022, will keep him with Villarreal until the summer of 2027. According to Spanish news site Relevo, the young Dane has a €40 million release clause, and Wolves, another Premier League foe, have also been connected with him.

After a brief loan with Manchester City, Trafford signed a contract with Burnley that runs through 2027. He only joined the club last summer. The player has been linked to a number of teams this summer, including Liverpool, Newcastle, and Bayern Munich.
