The opportunity to join Inter Miami was too much for one ex-United player, according to reports.Inter Miami attempted to sign Marcos Rojo, and he shares the story.Marcos Rojo, speaking to Radio La Red, disclosed that Messi personally contacted him to try to sign with Inter Miami; however, the defender turned down the opportunity to stay with Boca Juniors.

“Leo called me,” Rojo remarked, emphasizing that it wasn’t simply any random person or middleman. During my conversation with Leo Messi, he informed me that Inter Milan was a potential destination. To put that in perspective, think of any footballer.

I simply renewed my contract with Boca, so I must admit that I was not persuaded to quit. My sole action was to inform Roman (Riquelme) of the situation and assure him that I would remain here if he need my presence.
