Fans of the Dallas Mavericks were understandably worried about their team’s prospects in the series following Game 1’s lopsided 89-107 loss to the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals. Despite a dismal performance, Kyrie Irving took to social media to encourage his followers to stick together.

Due to the athleticism of the Celtics’ defense, he was unable to create the kind of holes that his customary speed and jitchiness allow him to create. When matched up against any of the three Celtics’ perimeter players, he was completely ineffective.
With his productivity being the deciding factor in these performances, the Mavericks have no chance of winning if Kyrie performs like this. We very never see Kyrie and Luka lose when they’re both having a strong night. The Mavericks would have been far more formidable opponents today if Irving had performed even half as well as usual.
After Game 1, Kyrie Irving’s postseason average fell significantly from 25.8 points in the regular season to 22.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 5.0 assists.
Despite Irving’s improved defensive play for the Mavericks in the playoffs, he still hasn’t solved his scoring problems from earlier in the season.

He’s been prоductive, but insteаd оf trаding оff with Lukа Dоncic, he shоuld be the оne tо estаblish the tоne.
The Celtics’ defense, which appeared ready for the majority of the Mavericks’ main moves, will be another obstacle to overcome. They were excellent in defending nearly every system, and the Mavs’ offense came from surprise plays by players like Doncic in single coverage. Irving has the ability to experience those moments and should make use of it.
