While the Blues ‘explore the sale’ of another forward, reports indicate that Michael Olise, a standout for Crystal Palace and a key target for Manchester United, has ‘signed personal terms’ with Chelsea.

Almost every major Premier League club has taken an interest in Olise. Sir Jim Ratcliffe, United’s co-owner, is planning to sign the Frenchman as one of his first signings at Old Trafford. Pep Guardiola is also said to be a big fan. Liverpool is interested in Olise as a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah.

Last summer, Chelsea were under the impression that they had activated the 22-year-old’s £35 million release clause, but Palace informed them that Olise himself had to do it. This nearly led to his transfer to Stamford Bridge.

Olise would have informed Chelsea of the sum that Palace and him had agreed upon, with a minimum of £35 million, in order for Palace to sell him, as per the terms of the release clause.

Reportedly enraged by Chelsea’s behavior during negotiations, Palace ultimately succeeded in getting Olise to sign a new four-year contract at Selhurst Park.
