Two days before the start of the European Championships in Germany, Robert Lewandowski suffered an injury. The tournament is being held in Germany.
The striker for Poland was taken out of the game 32 minutes into their final warm-up match against Turkey on Monday. The match was played in Warsaw, and the Poles were able to pull out a 2-1 victory in the waning moments of the match.
Poland is scheduled to begin their European Championship campaign on Sunday against the Netherlands, who defeated Iceland by a score of 4-0 in their final friendly match, which took place in Rotterdam.
On the other hand, Lewandowski will not be participating in that game since it has been discovered that he has suffered a rupture in the biceps thigh muscle.
The team has issued a statement assuring that every effort would be made to ensure that Lewandowski is healthy enough to play in their second game of the challenge.
“Robert Lewandowski suffered a ruptured biceps thigh muscle, which will rule him out of the first match of the tournament,” Poland’s doctor Jacek Jaroszewski said in a statement Tuesday. “This will prevent him from competing in the tournament.” We are making every effort to ensure that Robert will be able to participate in the second game, which will be played against Austria.
During the match against Turkey, Lewandowski provided an assist to fellow forward Karol Swidersky, who scored in the 12th minute. However, the Charlotte FC player was also taken out of the game due to an injury in the 19th minute.
Lewandowski, who is 35 years old and plays for Barcelona, suffered an injury on Monday, but Michal Probierz played down the severity of the ailment and stated that he had no plans to bring in a replacement for the player.

“Robert has a slight injury, hopefully, there should be no problems,” Probierz said. “Karol twisted his ankle joint, after the tests the situation will be known.
“Also the change of Pawel Dawidowicz was due to an injury. I hope they will recover after a few days. We do not plan to call up anyone.”
Poland’s latest injury concerns come after Juventus striker Arkadiusz Milik was ruled out of the tournament through injury.
