After receiving their second yellow cards in the second half, Tomas Aviles and David Ruiz were both sent off for Miami.

Meanwhile, Union’s home losing streak dates back to March 30 and has now extended to seven games.

Despite playing without star forwards Julian Carranza and Daniel Gazdag, the Union took the lead in the third minute. After receiving the ball from Jakob Glesnes, Mikael Uhre scored his sixth goal of the season by dribbling past his defender and shooting the ball past Drake Callender.

Quinn Sullivan was set up by the Union in the 13th minute to try and double their lead, but his shot went wide of the goal.In the first half, Miami’s offense was sluggish without Messi and Suarez, and they didn’t get a single shot until the 39th minute.
