After defeating the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night, the Boston Celtics won the NBA Championship for 2024.

Grant Williams, a former basketball player for Tennessee, was also having fun in the locker room following the game.

The former Vols forward played his first four NBA seasons in Boston after being selected by the Celtics in the first round of the 2019 NBA draft. Williams appeared in one NBA Finals with Boston in 2022 and made three trips to the Eastern Conference Finals with the Celtics.

Following the 2022–2023 season, Williams was moved to the Mavericks, where he inked a $54 million four-year contract.He averaged 8.1 points per game in 47 games during his time in Dallas before being traded in the middle of the 2023–24 season to the Charlotte Hornets. Williams played 29 games for the Hornets, averaging 13.9 points per contest and 50% from the field.

Williams finished his career at Tennessee as the two-time SEC Player of the Year, averaging 18.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, and 1.1 steals per game in his last campaign. A unanimous first team All-American, he was also.
