However, PSG are still uncertain about the Dutch attacking midfielder’s future and could let him leave in the summer.
According to Sport, the financial situation forced Barca to withdraw from this deal. Barca cannot compete with Bayern in this deal. Therefore, Barca will shift their focus to other targets this summer. This opens the door for Bayern as they want to strengthen their squad in Vincent Kompany’s debut season.
Bayern’s new sports director Max Eberl is the one who recruited Xavi Simons to RB Leipzig. He highly appreciates this player and also has a connection with the Dutch star. Eberl believes Simons will succeed at Bayern and is trying to convince the “Gray Tigers” to spend money on this deal in the summer.
Xavi Simons wants his future to be decided before the Euros. However, PSG’s postponement means Xavi Simons will probably only be able to decide his future after the tournament in Germany.
