Prior to the summer transfer window, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, the goalkeeper for Barcelona, is reportedly attracting interest from Al-Ittihad of the Saudi Pro League.
The following transfer update was provided by transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, who has been speaking with the micspod.
“Some of the big names which clubs from Saudi Arabia have on their list for the summer are Kevin de Bruyne, Marc André ter Stegen, and Mohamed Salah,” he clarified.
“It’s true that Al Ittihad has a strong affection for Ter Stegen; let’s see if they can make it work.”
Al-Ittihad has already made significant roster investments by luring players to the team including Fabinho, N’Golo Kante, and Karim Benzema.
The Saudi teams have previously demonstrated that they have the financial wherewithal to sign big names and might be prepared to make Barcelona a sizable bid.
It’s known that the Catalans are keen to close a large deal this summer in order to alleviate their financial difficulties, but it’s unclear if Ter Stegen will be persuaded to travel to the Middle East.
