Bronny James’ restricted workouts are expounded upon by Rich Paul

Bronny James has only been to the Los Angeles Lakers’ and the Phoenix Suns’ practices leading up to the NBA Draft.

Other NBA clubs reportedly having a hard time enticing Bronny to workout with them, but Paul, Bronny’s agent, has stated that this is all part of their strategy.

Here we go again. The point is to locate a squad that believes in your individual and encourage him to reach his full potential. This has always been the approach with many of my customers throughout the years, particularly those in need of development like Bronny, so it’s crucial to grasp the background. Paul informed ESPN that his stuff is intentional.

If you’re thinking about signing Bronny, I made sure to let the clubs know early on that there’s nothing to talk about until you’re willing to offer him a serious deal. On a two-way street, substantial progress is difficult to achieve. Whether he ends up with the Lakers, the Suns, or any other team, or any particular draft pick, none of it matters to me. A good fit is key.

While the Lakers own the 17th and 55th picks in the draft, the Suns own the No. 22 pick. However, Paul did mention that other teams are interested in James as a draft pick.

Bronny is beloved by other teams. Take Minnesota, Dallas, and Toronto as examples. There will be another team if the Lakers aren’t it. I am unsure of Minnesota’s ownership situation, but they would love to have Bronny on board. To Bronny, [Mavs GM] Nico Harrison is something akin to an uncle. Dallas would offer him a guaranteed contract and draft him at 58 if the Lakers pass on him at 55. He is adored by Masai [Ujiri, president of the Raptors]. At the age of 31, they might abduct him without bothering to see him. These teams prioritize more than just workouts.

When asked if they would consider accepting additional workout invitations, Paul responded that Bronny is probably finished with them.

It was just the Lakers and the Phoenix Suns. Someone may phone me late, and there may be last-minute details. “We’ll see,” Paul remarked.
