Beginning with the current season, Modric complied with his agreement to extend his contract by one year. Nevertheless, that will change by 2024. It is rumored that the legendary Croatian player is dissatisfied with his inactivity over the past few months, and reports regarding his relationship with Carlo Ancelotti are contradictory.

When necessary, Ancelotti has consistently praised Modric for his professionalism and efficacy. Since the MLS and the Saudi Pro League both extended him offers in the summer, Modric is prepared to continue playing until he turns 40, despite the fact that he will turn 38 in September.

Both offers would be exceedingly lucrative, but according to reports from the Croatian daily 24 Sata, Dinamo Zagreb manager Mirko Barisic has extended an offer for him to return to his former club.

Prior to his 2008 transfer to Tottenham, Modric played for Dinamo Zagreb, where he began his ascent to the top of the global football rankings. His contemplation of that moment persists.

Modric will deliberate upon Barisic’s audacious proposition and may opt to defer his decision until Croatia emerges victorious at the 2024 European Championship.
