Cole Palmer has reacted to Roy Keane’s complimentary assessment of his performance during England’s 0-0 Euro 2024 draw with Slovenia as a substitute player.

“Yeah you know it’s always nice to hear, especially coming from someone like Roy Keane who played internationally and at Man United so it’s nice to hear,” Palmer said.

In response to the notion that he would start for England in their round of 16 match on Sunday, Palmer said, “But obviously it’s up to the manager now for what he wants to do.”
