Celebrated Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds marked his 46th birthday on Saturday, taking to Instagram on Tuesday morning to express his gratitude to fans for the overwhelming flood of well-wishes.
“This birthday has been the best of all. Thanks for all the kind messages,” wrote the award-winning star in his heartfelt caption.
In addition to acknowledging the outpouring of support, Reynolds also offered a glimpse into his inner circle, sharing images of those who joined him in celebrating the milestone occasion.
Among the central figures was his 35-year-old wife, Blake Lively, a fellow Hollywood luminary whom he first crossed paths with on the set of the 2011 film “The Green Lantern.” Also featured was talent scout Elaine, who was married to Blake’s father, actor Ernie Lively, until his passing in 2021.
Joining the festivities was Reynolds’ mother, Tammy Reynolds, who was previously married to Ryan’s late father, James Chester Reynolds, who passed away in 2015. Rounding out the group was Ryan’s older brother, Terry Reynolds, a police officer who has served as a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
In addition to the family portraits, Reynolds shared solo snapshots of himself enjoying nature, sporting a long blonde ponytail, and donning humorous “Happy Birthday” sunglasses.
The actor’s birthday celebration comes on the heels of his recent focus on movie news, particularly his announcement that pal Hugh Jackman would be reprising his Wolverine character for “Deadpool 3.” Reynolds shared insights into the creative process behind the film, emphasizing the need for each Deadpool installment to stand out and stay true to the character’s essence.
The announcement sparked excitement among fans and collaborators alike, including John Krasinski, who expressed curiosity about the project he’s working on with Reynolds called “Imaginary Friends.”
Directed by Shawn Levy, “Deadpool 3” is set to bring Reynolds and Jackman back together on screen, with the film slated for release on September 6, 2024.
