Cristiano Ronaldo ‘s Portugal team had a surprising 0-2 loss to Georgia in the final round of Group F of Euro 2024. In this match, the 39-year-old superstar was substituted in the 66th minute and did not score any goals.

The fans’ disappointment was directed at Cristiano Ronaldo. The striker, who plays for Al Nassr Club, almost faced danger when he was lucky to avoid a kick from an overzealous fan.

According to the clip, when Cristiano Ronaldo was moving into the tunnel after the match, an overzealous fan jumped down from the stands to attack. He almost got hit by a flying kick with both legs straight into the body of this fan .

Luckily, security personnel standing nearby quickly reacted and promptly shielded Cristiano Ronaldo. This made the Portuguese star even more frustrated as he had just had a disappointing match against Georgia.

This is not the first time Cristiano Ronaldo has faced extreme behavior from fans at Euro 2024. In the match against Turkey in the second round of Group F, the 39-year-old superstar had fans storm the field six times to ask for selfies.

Although the defeat to Georgia did not affect Portugal’s position at the top of Group F, Cristiano Ronaldo was disappointed that he could not score. He received a yellow card in the first half and reacted angrily to the referee because he was not awarded a penalty.

According to the Euro 2024 schedule in the round of 16, Portugal will play Slovenia on July 2.
